#projectlove Anemone Flower Style

I love paper! I love taking a simple piece of paper and turning it into something beautiful. When Brad proposed to me he planned a whole day of surprises and special memories. One thing I still see daily is an origami  rose he asked his friend to make for me. It is a rose that will never die and still smells faintly of the oils from twelve years ago!

When I saw this flower tutorial I knew it had to be added into the #projectlove boxes. They are so delicate and make me smile every time I see them. I am even using them as photo props in my etsy shop.

Supplies needed:

I printed the template on good ol' printer paper and used the cut out pieces as stencils on my specialty card stock.Cut all your pieces out and make slits per the linked tutorial. Roll the edges of each flower petal with your pen or pencil to give them that nice natural curve. For the flower centers I rolled the edges and then curled them into a ball and gently smooshed them in my fist to keep their round shape. Glue the centers together. Glue the smaller petals onto the bottom of the center one at a time followed by the larger centers. I did not add the stems but these would look fantastic in a vase. Perfect for brightening any room.

I'll be back next week with details on what was inside these colorful envelopes! What brightens up your home and brings a smile to your face?

Andi and Brad have been married since 2002. They have five squishers who keep them on their toes. She is a second generation home educator. In her spare time Andi creates and sells handmade goodies in her shop, Andi Gould Designs.
