Simple Joys

For several months I have wanted to get Bookworm a camera. I've looked on ebay for a specific camera that is made for kids. It retails for over $60 so I was not going to buy a new one but all the affordable ones on ebay had some flaw so I just put it out of my head, well kinda. A friend from church gave her son her old camera and he takes pictures which she will occasionally upload on Facebook. This got me thinking. I have an old camera collecting dust, why not give it to Bookworm!

So today I did just that!

She has been taking pictures all afternoon. I'll spare you the blurred photos and 57 shots of her clothes close up, but I did want to share a few of her cute first photos!

When I first gave her the camera she really wanted to take a picture of my computer and the TV in my room. When I told her to go take pictures of other things in the house she refused! Kids are so funny.

Okay I took this of her while showing her how to use the camera, I love her!

She had to get one of her sister.

We have been getting meals from some people at church and today my earlier mentioned friend brought us a meal and she brought her boys with us. I think her son, S, who has the camera was impressed that another kid had a camera. He was a great subject for her first photo shoot.

And his brother.

Tonight we let the girls sleep in their tent in their bedroom. They were SO excited! Bookworm took some pictures. Gypsy was rushing back and forth from her bed to the tent taking all of her lovies and pillow to sleep with in the tent, this girl knows what she wants! Brad was a little disappointed that he didn't get to be a part of their first camp-out.

Setting up.

Taking pictures of each other.

Here are Brad's pictures of them.

You have to love the vast amount of ceiling shots!

I'll also share a few cute pictures of  Monster and the rest of the family. ;)

We had butterflies. They were supposed to come next week but of course they came a month early and I got to tend to those and a new baby all at the same time, gotta love homeschooling!
