Tot School Tuesday

Bookworm is 38 months and Gypsy is 18 months.

The past two weeks we were focusing on the letter B.

Babies were played with constantly. Oh wait that isn't unusual in our home!

Gypsy was pushing the high chair around like a stroller. Apparently she too is an interior designer just like her big sister! They are both always rearranging furniture and rugs.

Our friends Becca and Lorelai came over to play. (I found out that Brad does not like the phrase "play date," but what else do you call it?)

The girls all tried eating play dough thanks to Gypsy... She kept licking it and before I knew it she took a little bite then a HUGE bite.

Boxes are everywhere in our home so the girls had fun playing inside them and dumping them, it was as if they knew it was B week!

We have tons of the baby chain links all over the house. The girls usually make necklaces with them but sometimes they wear them as bracelets.

Beads are always a hit and are used a lot by all three of us.

One of the books we got from the library this week is "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear."
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around,

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, show your shoe

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, that will do!

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, go upstairs-

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say your prayers-

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn out the lights-

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say good-night!

I was teaching the motions to the girls and this is Gypsy version of "touch the ground:"

For two days she kept "touching the ground!"
We were able to spend a lot of time in the beautiful outdoors.

Bookworm has learned the entire sign language alphabet. Sign language was my foreign language in high school so I love teaching the girls signs. Which is why I made this file folder game for her with some extra flash cards I had on hand.

More outside time. Gypsy was in the car for over half an hour. She just kept driving backwards. If she got stuck she would just stay there turning the wheel until someone came to move her!

Photo

Brad had the girls flying like airplanes, such fun with daddy.

I guess I was mistaken in thinking this was a rack for purses. Bookworm decided shoes would work better here and Gypsy agreed.

Tasty tea party. I think they are using Bigelow tea!

Photo

Gypsy made sure to take every piece off before she tried to put the rings back on in order.

Here is Gypsy with a new learning activity. She is supposed to reach in the box and pull out the block and then put in on the sheet. After matching the blocks there is a small hole on top of the box to drop them back in, this is the part she hasn't really grasped yet!

Bookworm, my budding artist.

Gypsy decided she wanted to do a learning activity just like Bookworm  So she got out the mat, picked an activity, and did it. While she did not use the tweezers, she did put the beads on the little suction cups. And this was all on her own.

I guess it is time for me to step it up with her and school!

We went to the movies and payed $2.00!!!!! for all of us to see the movie, of course we spent $8 on popcorn and a drink, yes just one small drink! *sigh*

The Tale of Despereaux was very cute!

I guess Gypsy can't get enough of school because she had to play with these stacking bowls on Saturday!
