It Has Arrived

This morning our local Christmas music station finally started 24/7 Christmas music! I have been checking the website for over a week and they haven't had anything posted. Last year they started November 1. But last year that was a Thursday. I was hoping that meant this year they would at least start today, and they did!!!

Since they were not playing my beloved music I found a station about four hours south of us that you can listen to a prerecorded, almost no interruptions continuous Christmas music feed. This has been playing on my computer the past few days since I found it.

This was the conversation last night:

A- listening to Christmas music while surfing
B- Are you listening to Christmas music?
A- Yes.
B- Put your ear buds in.
A- Are you serious?
B- No, just as long as it doesn't get any louder. I have a right to not listen to Christmas music til after Thanksgiving.
A- We'll see about that! Thinking to myself, "How can I be married to such a Scrooge?!"

I am now sitting here listing to nonstop Christmas music, burning my new Christmas Cookies candle from my mom, and thinking about all the Christmas decorations that are screaming from our storage closet to come out and liven up our home. Sweet decorations, you only have 19 more days!

Things to do before Christmas (in no particular order):
>Finish Traveler's stocking
>Find a stocking for new baby so that maybe this kid will have a completed stocking before his/her first Christmas!
>Teach Bookworm some more Chirstmas songs (Last night it was Jingle Bells!)
>Bake yummy cookies
>Buy the last six gifts I need for Christmas
>Listen to gobs and gobs of Christmas music
>Enjoy my time with friends and family

Andi and Brad have been married since 2002. They have five squishers who keep them on their toes. She is a second generation home educator. In her spare time Andi creates and sells handmade goodies in her shop, Andi Gould Designs.

HOORAY for christmas! =) last year i think you guys and my family called to let me know that they had started playing christmas music up here on nov. 1st (no radio stations in tx were doing that - sad). i was thinking about it yesterday, and i started scanning through stations, but to no avail... thanks for the good news! =) call you in a minute... love you!

  2. Okay, I've read all your blogs that I've missed up to the "how do you scrapbook or get anything done" one!

I love the peapod, so cute!

Happy Birthday! I'm so happy that your best friend is back here with you. That must be so wonderful for your heart.

I also love Christmas and am wanting to start the season sooner. When it's strechted out we have more time to enjoy it, soak it all up and make it feel Christmasy. I downloaded the new Shane and Shane Christmas CD the other day and I've been listening to that the past few days.

I also was denied the right to put up my tree until after Thanksgiving...but that probably won't be happening. It'll get put up sooner.

We have these fun Christmas nesting boxes. I think I will stack them all high and put something from the Christmas story in each box (a toy star, a toy cow, "swaddling" blanket and then each night have the girls open one box and read the Christmas story!

And...did I miss something...are you pregnant? Or did I miss read something about the new baby's stocking? If so, Congrats!!! Wow.

We should still get together. :) You go to Paradox church, right? Then you are right near us!

  3. New baby!? What have you not told me?

Sometimes it is nice to be single. No one can tell me that I have to wait to put up Christmas decorations. I could put them up in June if I wanted to. ;)

  4. B is so right...I think we are more alike than we even realize!!! I was surfing the radio this morning after cartoon time...and bam it was on...whooohoooo!! Ed drove my van today and said "were you listening to Christmas music?...your nuts...LOL" Glad to know Im not alone :)

Thank you for stopping by today. I love hearing from you. Leave a comment and we can chat more!
