I'm Finished

This morning we had a play date with some friends. On our way home Gypsy feel asleep in the car and Bookworm almost did. I knew if Bookworm fell asleep she would not sleep anymore today. So I grabbed my ipod out of my purse and turned on a Sesame Street video for her to watch. She made it home but Gypsy woke up when I pulled in the drive way. I put both of them down for a "nap." They both played in their rooms while I got started on the lights. Bookworm realized I was outside her window and kept opening the shades to peak. Gypsy finally got tired and started crying. After going back into the house several times to lay them back down, they finally BOTH fell asleep.

It only took me two hours to get everything together, hang the lights and clean up! It was the fastest, easiest time ever. I didn't have to go to the store for one more strand of lights or extra clips. Plus I have never hung lights in a t-shirt before.

Before I put the ladder away I wanted to turn them on just to make sure they all worked. I went to turn on the switch and get the little remote for the outside plug. When I hit the button on the remote.... nothing.

WHAT?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I checked the lights yesterday and they were just fine. What is going on?! I know I said I wouldn't turn them on til the 22nd, but I just need to make sure they work.

Then I realized the indicator light on the remote was barely glowing when I pushed the button.

Dead battery.

And here I thought I got the lights up without a hitch. I guess I still have to go to the store. But the lights are up and working and I could turn them on if I wanted!
