How do you....

My mom is teaching a scrapbooking class for the homeschool co-op group my sister is a part of. I am helping her plan the class which is why I made that mosaic frog yesterday. (They will be doing similar mosaic pictures in a few weeks)

I miss scrapbooking.

How do you make time for the things you want to do when there is so much you have to do?

sitting, waiting, um... hello, anyone there????

No, I'm not sure you are getting it. I'm asking you, what do you do? Yes YOU! Oh come on now, don't make me call you out by name in front of everyone here. Okay, go ahead.

Andi and Brad have been married since 2002. They have five squishers who keep them on their toes. She is a second generation home educator. In her spare time Andi creates and sells handmade goodies in her shop, Andi Gould Designs.

  1. like they say....you cant have it all, so sometimes i just let one thing go so i can have another. often when tim is out of town i will do my best to keep the household duties a priority all day so that once lorelai is in bed i can do whatever i want!

  2. I'll just say that sometimes the dishes don't get done, and I'm okay with that.

Plus, I feel that what I like to do is worthwhile. I've turned all my blogs into hardcopy published books. They are something I'd like to leave to my kids (my legacy, if you'll allow me to be cheesy). Photography is another passion--also worthwhile (and it can make a little cashflow).

Hobbies that weren't so worthwhile - like watching soaps for hours a day - ceased to be hobbies.

  4. I agree with rebecca. I can't figure it out. Having help is the only way I can figure.

PLUS, I feel like my girls are small now and need me now and want me now...cherish that and when they are older and a bit more independent I can do things.

  5. To be honest, I don't make the time. I miss it. I miss it so very much! I always make excuses, saying a lot of "when" and "if" statements about doing the fun things for myself that I enjoy. But the longer I go without doing them, the more I feel less of the person I like to be. Not sure if that totally makes sense...? God created me as an artistic person, and I need to figure a way to get back into it in some form or another. Sounds like there's more of you out there feeling like I do, too!
