I love the Olympics. I have loved watching them since I was little. When Little Bo Peep was born and I was home on maternity leave the 2006 Winter Olympics were on and I watched it all on CBC. We recently just upgraded to digital cable and now have Universal Sports which is airing Olympic trials.

About two months ago Little Bo Peep started doing somersaults on her own. I don't know if she saw it on TV or just figured it out on her own. The past week she has been doing them even more. She has always loved running and jumping so I shouldn't have been surprised about the somersaults. B and I have been talking about putting her in a gymnastics class. So with the Olympics this summer I thought it would be perfect for her to watch and see what she thinks.

When I turned the TV on this morning this was our conversation:

Little Bo Peep: "Mumma what are they doing?"
Me: "Flipping and spinning."
Little Bo Peep: "Mumma she is flipping and spinning and running!!! "Mumma she's so pretty!"

Then she started jumping all over the bed and doing somersaults on the HARDWOOD floor.

Then there was a commercial for diving:

Little Bo Peep: "Mumma she is in the water!" (She loves the water!)

She was so excited then she continued to give me a play-by-play of what the girls were doing. She was so fascinated by all of it. I love the Winter Olympics, I think she will be a Summer Olympic girl!

Andi and Brad have been married since 2002. They have five squishers who keep them on their toes. She is a second generation home educator. In her spare time Andi creates and sells handmade goodies in her shop, Andi Gould Designs.
