He's Slippin’ ‘Em Bread... Dig?

That is the title of an episode from Gilmore Girls season six. After a long fight between Lorelai and Rory the are back together and sharing all that has been going on while they were fighting. In "Lorelai-fashion" Lorelai has been writing little notes to herself of things to tell Rory and keeping them in a hat box. I feel like i have a hatbox in my brain right now. There have been so many little things the past month I thought, "Oh I should go blog about this," and it never happened. So I think this may be another rambling post.

I have been consumed with the children's Christmas pageant at church the past few weeks. I was either making a costume or helping at a practice or trying to help figure out the music. It was so much fun but that is a huge reason why I haven't been on here to post. Yesterday was the performance. It started snowing here Saturday afternoon and stopped yesterday afternoon. The roads were awful, churches were canceled all over the place, but the show must go on! Every speaking part but one showed up for the pageant! They did a GREAT job! We were all so pleased with their hard work and the parents who braved the "Blizzard of 2007!" (I love how the news has nothing better to report on so they let the weather staff take over the whole broadcast and turn a few inches of snow into the story of the year.)

I have also been super busy getting ready for Christmas! This is my FAVORITE time of year! Our decorations went up the day of The Game. And I have been enjoying them ever since! Little Bo Peep has been enjoying them too! She is fascinated by the ornaments and loves that she can touch them. Our little tree in the basement is more of a temptation for her than the big one. I think she feels it is just the right size for her! B gave me some bad news the other day. The football season is changing starting next year Game Day will be later than it has been. Don't they realize this messes with my Christmas traditions?!?!?!? I told B traditions can change and I will still be decorating before Thanksgiving!

Christmas the past six years has included cookies! I love baking and I love cookies so it seems like the perfect fit. We have had a ton of cookies around the house and they are so good. I had the idea to bake some extra cookies to take to the neighbors. So last week I bagged up a bunch of cookies with festive ribbons and we went to a few neighbors houses to deliver cookies. It was great to finally meet some of the people who live right by us. We see them all the time but have no idea who they are. After three years of living here and only briefly meeting two neighbors and getting to know one other we decided we should make some effort. On Sunday I'll be making some more cookies with a dear friend since the ones I have made are almost gone and I need some for Christmas!

Our Christmas cards went out a few weeks ago but while I was trying to figure out which pictures to use for the card I went to CVS to print some so I could see how they would look off of the computer. I had a few printed that I had taken of us in front of our tree and a few of the girls I took on the couch and in Little Bo Peep's room. When I went to pay for them the photo guy asked if I had the original media and saw that I only had a CD. I always put my pictures on a CD so I have a mostly empty memory card for my camera. Then he said he would be right back and took my pictures! He took them to the back of the store and was gone for a at least five minutes. At first I was wondering were he went, then I was mad he took my pictures without explanation, then I was even more mad because I was in a hurry and he was taking forever. When he came back he started ringing me up and didn't say why he left like that. So I asked him if there was something wrong with my pictures. He said, "Oh I needed to make sure they weren't professional. We have been getting people in here trying to print professional pictures." Okay I know people try that but he didn't even ask me if they were professional or tell me where he was taking my pictures! Then on the way home I started thinking it was a compliment, he thought my pictures were good enough to be professional. But I was still mad he took them without telling me what he was doing.

What do you think?

My best friend from Texas asked me to take some pictures of our tree and snow (when we got some) and post them so she could see. She won't be home til a few days after Christmas so she wanted to see what we had going on here. Michele I hope this helps make your Christmas a little more like home!

While I'm planning on posting before Christmas next week, I never know what my week will be like so I would just like to say, HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!
