The Day I Wanted to Cancel Christmas...

Don't worry this blog has not been high jacked!

I totally forgot to post about my Christmas Light Catastrophe.

The night before we decorated for Christmas Brad and I set up the tree so Little Bo Peep wouldn't be underfoot while we tackled that.

So Saturday morning I got up to start putting the lights on the tree. I plugged the first strand in to make sure it was working. It wasn't. I got out my tester to find the problem bulb and I couldn't figure out which bulb was giving me a problem the tester didn't seem to be working right. So I got out another stand thinking I would go back to the first one later. The second strand didn't work. I got our the next and the next and the next.....

ONE strand out of seven was working!

At this point I'm furious because how were they all working last year and now only one is working???

B and Little Bo Peep had to go to the grocery store for a few things so I stayed home to check on the light strands for outside. All six strands were not working. How can ONE strand out of thirteen work when they all worked last year???? Then I turned to my trusty Internet to help find a solution.

Light Keeper Pro to the rescue!!!

This little gadget is a life saver, well a light saver at least! I found it on line and immediately went to Target as soon as Brad got home. I also bought thirteen new light strands while I was there, I figured if I could get the others to work I would take the new ones back and if I couldn't get them to work I wouldn't have to go back out. So I got home and on average there are 25 of 100 lights out on each strand!!! But with my new tester I can salvage a lot of the old strands and maintain the new strands.

Thanks to my LightKeeper Pro I won't want to cancel Christmas anymore!
