It's been too long...

I have been wanting to blog for months now, but every time I think about it I am about to log off the internet. So today I decided to stay on a few minutes longer and blog.

So much has been going on the past few months, and here begins the ramblings...

I am no longer working!!!! Hip-hip hooray!!!! I love staying at home with Little Bo Peep and am looking forward to having both of my girls here with me. Goldilocks is due September 23! We are so excited to have her in our arms. I am starting to go through Little Bo Peep's old clothes to see what all I have for Goldilocks. Little Bo Peep is in her new bedroom. I am working on hanging up the last few things on her walls this week to finish her room. She loves being in there, I think she just loves having more room on her floor to spread out her books! Our new car is so much fun! We can fit two car seats in the back, the trunk is HUGE, and the leg room is so roomy in the front and back. We have gone on our vacations for the year. It is so weird because we have been going at the end of the summer so to have them over in July is weird.

We had so much fun going to Chicago with my family. I have been waiting to go to the American Girl Place for years and it was so much fun to take Little Bo Peep with me! Of course buying her a Bitty Baby at age one has set us up for possible traditions with our other girls. I never thought girls needed an American Girl doll that early in life, but the way she started hugging and kissing her in the store was the same feeling I had at 10 about American Girl dolls. I will just have to make sure to instill the true meaning of American Girl in my girls. It always saddens me to see what it has become, but I do find joy in the tradition of the product.

We went up to Harbor Springs last month for our 5th wedding anniversary. This is where we went on our honeymoon and it was fun to return. This was the first vacation we had been on since our honeymoon that was just us. We so enjoyed relaxing and exploring as a family. We look forward to the day when we can take vacations like this and vacations with family or friends all in the same year.

Little Bo Peep is maturing so much. Even though most of her vocabulary is some form of "da," she is talking so much. She is understanding so much more and I know is about to take off really talking and understanding. She rubs my belly and gives kisses and hugs to my belly anytime she hears "Goldilocks," I know in some way she understands there is a baby in there and that baby is her sister. I can't wait to see her with Goldilocks. She also has an obsession with shoes. She has been bringing people their shoes whenever they are barefoot and is now bringing them if you ask. We were at a friend’s house the other day for the Fourth of July and she brought B and me our shoes. Then my friend Marlena asked Little Bo Peep to bring her shoes over. She stopped, looked at Marlena for a moment and then went to get her shoes. When she came back with Marlena's shoes there was a small part of me that was shocked. People keep saying she will be in shoes sales, we'll see.

I think this is all the rambling I can handle for now; here are some pictures from this early summer.
