It's 3:00 and I can't sleep

I just woke up and all I could think about was my blog. It has been so long since I could breathe. I’m back to work. Paradox has launched. Fall is here! October is tomorrow. I have an eight month old sleeping upstairs.
Our beach trip was great (look back a few posts and you can read all about it along with a few other things that have been going on).
This year has once again brought me a new assistant to work with at school. Liz and I have worked together before but not in the same class like this. I am very excited and it is going great so far. We have a full load of kids every day (20 Monday- Thursday and 19 on Friday). They keep us busy but they seem to be a great bunch of kids.
Paradox officially launched last week. We had over 300 people between the two services which is what we had been praying for over the last month. I have been helping out with the Journey, the kid’s ministry. Over all the morning went well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
I still can’t believe fall is here! This is my favorite time of the year. Sweaters and flip-flops, colorful leaves, and my birthday. October is always a busy month for us. Six birthdays in the family can do that. We always go to Frankenmuth for Brad’s and my birthdays and the apple orchard for mine and Marc’s birthday. And there is often a big “October Fest” to celebrate all the birthdays.
Little Bo Peep is doing so well. She has been trying to walk for a few weeks now. She pulls up on everything, and is walking along the furniture. She keeps standing up on her own with no support. She will stand there for a few seconds before dropping to her butt. Those seconds are getting longer every day. I don’t know if she will beat me walking by nine months, but she sure is going to try. Before our trip last month we thought she was saying “Mumma.” While we were gone we realized that she was in fact saying it. She calls me when she is crying. The past week or two she has started calling me without crying, which is nice. Several months ago Little Bo Peep started shaking her head “no.” We thought it was so cute. Last week I was reading in her “What to Expect the First Year” book about how movement like this are babies way of finding their own rhythmic movements. So now I know for a fact that she is dancing when she hears music. And like her mum sometimes the music is only in her head.
Tuesday the seventh season of Gilmore Girls started. We were all so excited. I was so looking forward to the start I had my own marathon. I watched all six seasons before the new season started. It only took me two weeks. Little Bo Peep would watch them with me when she wasn’t napping in the afternoon. Every time the theme song would come on she would stop whatever she was doing and stare at the TV and then she would start dancing.
I'm going back to bed!

Andi and Brad have been married since 2002. They have five squishers who keep them on their toes. She is a second generation home educator. In her spare time Andi creates and sells handmade goodies in her shop, Andi Gould Designs.

  1. I did the same thing! No joke. I borrowed my parents seasons 1-3 and then netflixed the rest! How cool! I still haven't seen the premier though, I don't get the cw. But my fam taped it for me, so I will get to see it in a few weeks. :)
