We Found Her

Brad and I have been looking for a baby doll for Little Bo Peep since we found out we were having a girl. I had something very specific in mind and we can not find what I wanted. When I was little I had a baby doll named Ziggy (Okay, I still have her...). She is just a vinyl doll that doesn't have movable arms or legs and there is no "real" hair. This is what I wanted for Little Bo Peep. Unfortunately no one makes this kind of a doll anymore, at least not that I could find. The arms and legs move, the dolls have "real" hair, the vinyl smells like gasoline. I had frustration in me (to quote Junie B. Jones) and I had given up hope. A few weeks ago I started thinking that I should just buy her any old doll because it will be her doll not mine. Tonight I stopped at Kohls (my FAVORITE store) on the way home from a doctor appointment and I went to look at the dolls. There is not a big selection of baby dolls at Kohls but I found a doll that I liked and it appears that Little Bo Peep likes her too.

She looks so much like her cousin A in this picture.

*I did buy two dolls, just in case she turns into a "Ducky."

Andi and Brad have been married since 2002. They have five squishers who keep them on their toes. She is a second generation home educator. In her spare time Andi creates and sells handmade goodies in her shop, Andi Gould Designs.

  1. Hi Guys.

I can't believe how big and beautiful Loralei is getting. I liked the "Ducky" comment. And I like L's new doll. I hope I get to do a little holding of that girl next week. I love you guys and will see you soon. Take care, Melissa
